Dr. Cindy Gutierrez is Assistant Dean of Teacher Education & Partnerships at the University of Colorado Denver’s School of Education & Human Development.

With over 20 years of leadership experience, she advances innovative, clinically centered teacher preparation through school and community partnerships. She has led the development of award-winning residency, grow-your-own, and apprenticeship pathways that expand access, diversify the teacher workforce, and prepare inclusive, culturally sustaining educators. Her research focuses on partnership-based, clinically-centered teacher preparation, and she has served as PI or Co-PI on nearly $20 million in sponsored projects.
