Jane Martínez Dowling

Chief of Student Pathways, New York City Public Schools

Jane Martínez Dowling is the Chief of Student Pathways for New York City Public Schools, where she leads career-connected learning, early college access, and college and career planning initiatives.

She oversees FutureReadyNYC, Career Readiness and Modern Youth Apprenticeships, and other programs designed to prepare students for success in college and the workforce. Previously, Jane served as Chief External Officer for KIPP NYC, leading partnerships, communications, fundraising, and community engagement. A native New Yorker and daughter of Dominican immigrants, she holds degrees from Georgetown University and Columbia University and has completed executive leadership programs at Harvard and Columbia.
