Sarah Oldmixon is an independent consultant whose work connects students and workers to good jobs and equips businesses with effective strategies to attract, retain, and grow talent.

She specializes in facilitating collaborative action and learning across diverse groups of workforce stakeholders, including businesses and industry groups, workforce boards, unions, K12 career and technical education leaders, community colleges, nonprofits, philanthropy, and research organizations.

Sarah previously served as Managing Director of the Partnership to Advance Youth Apprenticeship at the non-partisan think tank New America and Co-Director of the Workforce Matters Funders Network. She was on the leadership team of the National Skills Coalition, led the workforce development grantmaking portfolio at the Greater Washington Community Foundation, advised governors and state agency leaders at the National Governors Association Center for Best Practices, and was a fellow at the Ray Marshall Center for the Study of Human Resources.

Sarah is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where she earned a BA in American Studies and a Master of Public Affairs degree from the LBJ School of Public Affairs.
