Shonda Anderson is Director of the Kansas Office of Registered Apprenticeship within the Kansas Department of Commerce, leading statewide efforts to expand apprenticeship opportunities.

Kansas ranks among the top five states in apprenticeship growth outside construction and #9 in new apprentice growth over the past 15 years. Shonda holds degrees in agricultural business and education from Colorado State University and a master’s in agricultural economics from Kansas State University. With 20+ years in workforce development, education, and industry partnerships, she champions hands-on learning and skilled careers. Her 4-H roots and experience driving dump trucks for her father’s asphalt business shaped her passion for learning by doing.
